私たちは、1990年代に東京に8年間住んでいたことをきっかけに、長年にわたって日本を愛してきました。
私は教師として働き、夫は講師、雑誌への寄稿、英国大使館のガーデニング・アドバイザー、そしてイングリッシュ・ガーデン・デザインの仕事を通して、イングリッシュ・ガーデンへの愛を育んできました。皆さんも、ラスのガーデニングの本を読んだことがあるかもしれませんね。
私たちが日本のアンティークへ魅了されたのは、神社での骨董市を探検したり、骨董品倉庫、展示会を訪れたり、日本の伝統的な家屋への滞在などを通じて始まりました。
2000年にイギリスに戻ってからは、イギリスのカントリーサイドに住み、日本の方々をホームステイのゲストとしてお迎えしています。
私たちはすぐに、イギリスのアンティーク、ヴィンテージ、コレクターズアイテムに対して感じている魅力が、日本からのご訪問者のそれと同じであることに気づきました。
私たちは、お客様と一緒に「アンティーク・ハンティング」を楽しみ、美しく、興味深い古い品物の歴史を教えることが大好きになりました。
そこで私たちは、日本のアンティーク愛好家の皆様に、スタイリッシュで良質な英国のアンティーク、ヴィンテージ、コレクターズアイテムをオンラインでご紹介し、お買い物をしていただく機会を提供できないかと考えました。
この度、サイトの開設にあたり、私たちのコレクションをご覧いただき、またご購入いただけるようになりました。
このウェブサイトでは、英国の伝統的で、私たちのお気に入りでもある各種のアイテムをオンラインでご紹介しています。
特に、イングリッシュアフタヌーンティーをはじめとする英国式の様々な食事の際に、テーブルを彩る美しく愛らしいアイテムをご用意しています。

My name is Patricia and my husband is Russ. We are delighted to welcome you to our 'My English Antiques' website.
Our love of Japan has developed over many years, since living in Tokyo for eight exciting years in the 1990s.
I worked as a teacher and my husband helped to develop the love of English Gardening through lecturing, writing for magazines, working as Gardening Advisor for the British Embassy and through the work of our own English Garden Design business. You may have read one of Russ's gardening books at some time.
Our fascination with Japanese Antiques grew through our exploration of shrine sales, visiting antique warehouses, exhibitions and being privileged to enter and stay in traditional Japanese homes.
Since returning to England in the year 2000, we have welcomed Japanese visitors to the English countryside to homestay with us.
We quickly realised that our love of English Antiques, Vintage and Collectables, was matched by that of our visitors from Japan.
We have enjoyed many fun 'Antique Hunting' trips with our guests and loved teaching them about the history of beautiful, interesting old items.
We therefore decided that it would be an exciting idea, to offer the opportunity to antique lovers in Japan, to learn about and shop for stylish and good quality English Antiques, Vintage and Collectable items online.
We would now like to invite you to enjoy viewing and perhaps buying some of our collection.
We have developed a range of favourite and traditional English items for you to explore online.
We particularly offer beautiful and cute items, that are for use at and to decorate the table for various meals in the English style, especially English Afternoon Tea.
